Weggis a paradise of roses The legendary Rose Festival has been celebrated in Weggis since 1926. With the exception of 6 years during the second world war the Rose Festival has taken place every year. In the year 2000 a special rose was cultivated and named "Weggis" and a "Rose March" was composed by Napoleon Cattaneo and George Cosé.
