The beautiful village of Weggis is situated in a quiet bay on Lake Lucerne at the south west flank of Mount Rigi. Weggis has an exceptionally mild climate and a multitude of Mediterranean plants such as palm trees, grapes, orchids and chestnuts grow here. It is therefore not surprising that Weggis is often referred to as the "Riveria of Central Switzerland". |
